This full day tour takes in the National Gallery, the wonderful Courtauld Insititute of Art and the Wallace Collection, where we enjoy a traditional English High Tea.

You will experience some of the very best art in the world, including artists such as: Leonardo da Vinci, Reubens , Canaletto, Delacroix, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Rubens, Renoir and Monet among many others.

The tour begins in Trafalgar Square, on the steps of St Martin in the Fields Church, located on the east side of the square. The National Gallery has 600 years of art history to explore and we will see paintings from 14th century Italy through to early 20th century France. We will view highlights from different periods from Holland in the Golden Age, to Venice and Spain. We also experience English paintings such as Turner's seascapes, as well as famous paintings by John Constable.

From the National Gallery, we walk through nearby Covent Garden, to historic Somerset House. This spectacular 18th century building formerly housed Government offices for the Navy  and Inland Revenue. Today the splendid courtyard has a modern fountain surrounded by cafes, and it is here that we take a well - deserved coffee break.

We are now at the famous Courtauld Gallery.

Three floors of great paintings which culminate in the original Royal Academy rooms that include masterpieces such as Monet's painting "The Bar at the Folies Bergere" as well as the self -portrait of Van Gogh with his bandaged ear.

We are now ready to take a brief taxi journey to the famous Wallace Collection. Here, in Manchester Square, is an impressive 18th century mansion house furnished with a wide range of paintings, furniture, porcelain, clocks and medieval armour. The paintings here make a stunning list and they include Canaletto and Rubens along with a strong French collection of paintings eg. by Fraganord and Boucher,

We complete our tour in the courtyard restaurant with a delicious English Afternoon tea!
